Jalie Jeans

Did not do much sewing this week as I had my two Granddaughters here for spring break.  I did get my Jalie Jeans finished though and I have to say that I am very pleased with them.  They fit really well, the only changes I made was to make them in a straight leg rather than flared.

This coming week I need to get a pair of white linen pants and a print top finished to wear to my mother's 90th Birthday Day party held on April 9.

I expect this will be a busy week for me as I have to get party details finished, my house cleaned for out of town guest and my sewing.

Talk to you soon.

  1. Hi Jane! These are really cute jeans. It makes me want to try it. Will you teach your granddaughters to sew? Have a nice party!

  2. Give it a try, not as hard as one would think. I have tried to teach my granddaughters 13 and 15 to sew but no luck.....they love the fact that I can sew for them.

great Jeans - I have the Palmer Pletch Jean pattern that I still have to cut out - I even have the fabric - there is no way I would have thought you made those jeans Were there any particular problems you encountered?

I had my darling GD over on Sunday and she isn't one yet, - but my goodness you have granddaughters 13 and 15 my goodness you don't look old enough.

  4. Thank you for your comments. I have made the Palmer Pletch Jean pattern for a friend of mine and they came out great. I have never encountered any problems making jeans.....just go step by step. One tip I have learned is if you have a second sewing machine, thread that with the top stitching thread. Makes it so much easier. Good luck to you.

I am sure you enjoyed having you beautiful GD spend the day with you, they are so special at that age. I actually have 4 grandchildren, the other two live in Bermuda, a girl 20 and a boy 10.
